The short version
Use our products for what they're for, don't break them, don't take our content and republish it as your own. We'll keep them running as well as we can, but we can't promise perfection — and where something does go wrong, our liability has limits, set out below.
Nothing in this summary replaces the sections that follow; it's here so you know what you're agreeing to before you read the detail.
The numbered sections below are the text that governs, and they are kept in English so there is only ever one version to interpret. Write to us in Portuguese whenever you like — we answer in Portuguese.
01 / The agreementWhat these terms cover
These Terms of Service govern your use of wei.co.mz and the products operated by Wei Technologies ("Wei", "we", "us"), including wei exames. By visiting the site or using a product, you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, please don't use the services.
Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy form part of this agreement. Where a specific product has additional terms, those apply alongside these and, in the event of a conflict, take priority for that product only.
02 / Who can use WeiEligibility
You may use our services if you can form a binding agreement under Mozambican law. Some of our products are built for students who are under 18 — in that case, use is permitted with the awareness of a parent, guardian or school, and that adult accepts these terms on the student's behalf.
You may not use our services if we've previously suspended or removed your access.
03 / Your accountKeeping it yours
- Give us accurate information when you register, and keep it current.
- Keep your password to yourself. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you.
- Tell us at contacto@wei.co.mz as soon as you suspect someone else is using your account.
- One account per person. Don't share, sell or transfer an account.
You can close your account at any time. See the retention section of our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data afterwards.
04 / Acceptable useWhat you agree not to do
- Break the law, or use our services to help someone else break it.
- Copy, scrape, mirror or bulk-download our content — including exam questions, solutions and explanations — for redistribution or for training a model, without our written permission.
- Resell, sublicense or commercially exploit access to a product we gave you for personal use.
- Probe, scan or attempt to breach the security of our systems, or interfere with other users' access. Good-faith security research is welcome — write to security@wei.co.mz before you start.
- Upload malware, or anything designed to disrupt a service.
- Impersonate another person, or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
- Harass, threaten or abuse other users or our team.
05 / Your contentWhat you put in
Anything you submit — answers, notes, feedback, messages — stays yours. You give us a limited licence to store, display and process it for the sole purpose of operating and improving the service for you. We don't claim ownership, we don't publish it, and we don't sell it.
You're responsible for what you submit: you confirm you have the right to submit it, and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights. We may remove content that breaks these terms.
If you send us an idea or suggestion, we may act on it without obligation or payment. That's not us being greedy — it's so a suggestion in an email never becomes a dispute about a feature we were already building.
06 / Our intellectual propertyWhat stays ours
The Wei name, the logo, the interface, the code, the written explanations and the structured question bank are ours or our licensors'. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use them as the product intends — nothing more.
Exam papers themselves are public documents produced by the institutions that set them. Our work — and what this clause protects — is the digitisation, structuring, tagging, solutions and explanations we built around them.
07 / Availability and changesThe service as it is
We work to keep our services available, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may add, change, suspend or discontinue features, and we may run maintenance that takes a service offline temporarily.
If we retire a product entirely, we'll give reasonable notice and, where we can, a way to export your data first.
08 / Paid servicesIf and when we charge
Our products are currently free to use. If we introduce paid plans, the price, billing cycle and refund terms will be shown clearly before you're asked to pay, payments will be processed by a licensed provider, and no existing free feature will be moved behind a paywall without notice.
09 / Third-party linksWhere we point elsewhere
Our services link to sites and services we don't control. We're not responsible for their content, their terms or how they handle your data. Read their policies before you rely on them.
10 / DisclaimersWhat we don't promise
Our services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Specifically for wei exames: our material is a study aid. We work hard on accuracy, but we don't guarantee that every question, solution or explanation is free of error, that our content matches any current official syllabus, or that using the product will produce any particular exam result. Always check against your official materials.
11 / Limitation of liabilityLimits on what we owe
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wei is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data or lost opportunities arising from your use of our services.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or 5,000 MZN.
Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited under Mozambican law.
12 / Suspension and terminationEnding the agreement
You can stop using our services and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or terminate access if you break these terms, if we're required to by law, or if keeping the account open creates a risk to other users.
Where the situation allows it, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to put it right. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, governing law — do survive it.
13 / Governing lawWhich law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Mozambique. If a dispute can't be resolved by talking to us first — and we'd genuinely rather resolve it that way — it will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Maputo.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
14 / Changes to these termsKeeping this current
We may update these terms as our products evolve. The version number and date at the top of this page always show the current text. For material changes we'll give notice — by email or in the product — before they take effect. Continuing to use the services after that means you accept the new terms.
